We of Nancy Barrus Couture custom create wedding gowns and heirloom dresses for any wedding or special event. We also do full scale alterations on your ready-made wedding gown or formal attire, although we are no longer able to add shoulders and sleeves to outside gowns. Nancy Barrus Couture is now offered exclusively through Avenia Bridal.

For over thirty years Nancy has designed and constructed gowns for weddings or special occasions. With thousands of delighted customers both in custom work and alterations, Nancy and her staff are happy to serve your needs and desires. They will individually design from your ideas and pictures while using their extensive experience, artistry, and inspiration to create a gown which flatters your figure and enhances your personality in a truly gorgeous way.


The possibilities are endless; original designs which range from traditional to avant guarde to historically inspired themes, complete with a wonderful selection of fabrics, expert fitting and couture construction.


Many of our Bridal gowns are constructed in fine silks, woven as satins, taffetas, doupionis, crepes, and chiffons. Nothing flows more elegantly, shimmers more beautifully yet weighs so little on the body as silk. We take the time required for the hand-sewn details that give the gowns their heirloom quality.

We sell our fine fabrics and laces by the yard. We travel to NYC, LA, and Las Vegas yearly to find the best fabrics and laces from all around the world. We also sell custom covered buttons separately to dressmakers and artists.

We offer a full line of custom and ready made jewelry and headpieces.

Buttons


Buttons are available to be mailed anywhere in the US. Just send the fabric to cover them, and we will mail them back to you. The diameters are 3/8", 1/2", 5/8", and 3/4". Cost is .60 per button, plus shipping and handling. (about $8.00) Quantity discounts are as follows: 20+ buttons are $.55 ea; 50+ buttons are $.50 ea; 100+ buttons are $.45 ea.
